Togetherness, Solidarity, Relational Knowledge. Towards a Convivial Anthropology
We invite you to the International Conference Celebrating the 90th Anniversary of the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, University of Warsaw “Togetherness, Solidarity, Relational Knowledge. Towards a Convivial Anthropology”, which will take place in Warsaw on June 9-11, 2025.
The conference will be a materialization of the network of intellectual inspirations and research collaborations that have established who we are as individual researchers and as an institution of learning. We want to show the directions in which we moved, theoretically and spatially, and remind ourselves of the intellectual kinship and debts we have incurred. We call for more solidarity and togetherness in a neoliberal era of competing and accountability. We thus follow the idea of convivial anthropology, an endeavour which proposes cooperation, collegiality and connectivity across different topics, areas, and regions.
