Between Giants – International Summer School

On 8–13 September, our Institute co-organized the international summer school “Between Giants: Local Responses to Global Power Dynamics. Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia.”

Students from all over the world – from Mexico to Japan – came together to reflect on the consequences of life between empires. The program included lectures, field trips, museum visits, and discussions of participants’ papers.

The summer school was co-organized by Zuzanna Bogumił, and among the keynote speakers were Iwona Kaliszewska [1] and Margaret Comer from our Institute.
